Responsibilities

• Receive assignments from the Team Leader or Design Manager and perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. 
• Study job-related codes and regulations including Eurocode, technical guidelines on engineering practice, product specifications etc. and fully understand rules and regulations.
• Self-educate based on self-study guideline and topics proposed by line manager.
• Read carefully structural analysis to understand the requirements.
• Review sketches, specifications, and other engineering data received from Clients, Architects and implement;
• Prepare BIM models and design drawings based on the provided structural analysis following company design standards and SOPs;
• Be fully responsible for the quality and up-to-date of the design drawing assigned;
• Be responsible for all clarifications and queries related to drawing, communicating, and coordinating with the team leader
• Be responsible for deadlines, inform the Team Leader in advance if any deadline cannot be met, and provide for solution;
• Coordinate with the Team Leader and QA to ensure the quality of drawings is met at any time, follow strictly the QA procedure of the company;
• Produce models and drawings in full compliance with the company’s QA/QC procedure; Coordinate with the QA Eng Team Leader for any arisen matters; 
• Coordinate with the Team Leader and QA Engineer for any arisen matters; 
• Undertake QA tasks, check, review, correct, and sign own or assigned design drawings before every submission;
• Ensure conformity to customer specifications, company standards as well as other regulation requirements.
• Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes; Inform Team Leader immediately if design changes are additional service due to changes of Client/ Architecture/ Structure etc.;
• Maintain notes, design calculations, and other documentation (like drawings, list of design parameters, etc.) for future reference;
• Report on the progression of drawing completions, and ensure the timely completion of all assigned drawings based on the time schedule prepared by the team leader; ensure meeting personal performance level set by the Company;
• Take part in regular company training and attend tests in order to collect evidence of successful completion of training sessions;
• Assure the minimum average performance is met as per company average rate (delivered planned hours/ working time > 70%)
• Assure quality performance as per company policy;
• Responsibility for following up regularly with the line manager about personal performance data. Obtain monthly personal performance overview and submit the individual performance to the Team Leader on time, provide explanation to team leader if performance not in accordance with company policy;

Responsibilities

General 

• Receive assignments from Project Manager/ Design Manager or above.

Lead, Train and coach Team Members

• Coach new team members about their work (ex. software, way to name files, European code, Company standard, etc.) 
• Assign and supervise the tasks of all team members; 
• Arrange regular team meetings to discuss project status, solving problems, clarifications, and upcoming submittals (at least once per week). Make always meeting minutes and save in team folder. 
• Follow up the project schedule/delivery dates to ensure that all the deadlines are met 
• Coordinate internal QA, Team Manager and Project Manager for any arisen matters. 
• Follow up team performance to give in-time instructions, communicate the individual performance to each team member monthly and define action plan; 
• Define for each member the training and improvement plan and present plan and results to BOD quarterly.

Lead/Coordinate/ManageProjects

• Inform the Project Manager or/ and Team Manager in advance if any deadline cannot be met and provide proposal for solution; 
• Ensure conformity of drawings to customer specifications, company standards as well as other regulation requirements; 
• Prepare drawing lists for delivery and check the content of drawings list before each delivery; Prepare submittal folders; 
• Be responsible that every drawing is check according to the QA/QC procedure of the company;
• Follow up design changes by architects and incorporate/ update design drawings based on latest architectural design until the project is constructed; 
• Incorporate all comments by client and checking engineer within short time; 
• Be responsible for reporting to Team Manager in case of design changes by Client; Prepare variation list and send to Team manager if design changes appear before implementing design changes; 
• Coordinate with BIM Coordinator to ensure the quality of product is met; 
• Attend the project meeting on time and give regular advice for improvements; 
• Assign tasks for VTP and report their performance and attitude to related departments (HR, Controlling).

Team Performance 

• Evaluate team performance based on their efficiency, compliance, and attitude; 
• Ensure every team member meets the minimum performance requirement of Company; 
• Identify reason for lack of performance and inform Team Manager or Line Manager. 
• Assure minimum average performance of team is met at average rate (delivered planned hours/ working time >70%); 
• Define action plan for each member to improve quality and productivity, present plan and results to BOD quarterly.

• Develop processes and procedures to support and improve design practices; 
• Develop and propose improvements to design processes and procedures; 
• Develop gbc design standards and company handbooks.

• Report on the progression of drawing completions, and ensure the timely completion of all allocated projects; 
• Report on employee performance monthly; Prepare team performance overview for the previous month and provide to Team Manager according to deadlines given by HR department; Check if the performance overview is correct; 
• Report to HR and Team Manager if any team member does not follow working time/approved Overtime/assigned tasks/QA/QS Procedures;
• Registers of error drawings in QAQC Issues of document lists; 
• Report team performance to Team Manager and HR on time according to deadline set by HR department; 
• Submit team bonus application to Team Manager on time according to bonus agreement regulation.

• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by Project Manager;
• Evaluation Team member after probation contract and nominate member for company development;
• Attend meetings on time and propose a team member as vice team leader when absent.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Relevant Degree qualification or proven experience within the Civil & Structural Engineering sector;

• At least 3 years of experience as a CAD Draftsmen or BIM Engineer;
• Excellent leadership skills; Ability to lead and motivate teams;
